I was also there last night (12/2) and we had a fantastic time. I was there with DH, DD4 and DS2. We have never been to MVMCP before.
We got in the park at 4:45. Our first stop was Santa on Main Street. He came out at 5 PM and there were only a few people ahead of us in line. He was a great Santa, DD asked him where Rudolph was and he told her out back eating carrots, he took a lot of time interacting with her and even got my DS to smile. The only downer was there was not Photopass photographer, I asked the attendant and she said he's not there for every set.
Next, we went to Fantasyland. We have APs so did not care much about doing rides, however DD cannot go to the MK without going on the Pooh ride! The wait time said 20 min. but we were on in 15. We also had to do Small World and that was a walk-on. After a few minutes playing in the Pooh playground, we headed to Tomorrowland. Shame on me for not realizing how popular the Twas the Night Before Christmas show was, by 6:30 the theater was packed but we still managed to get seats. What an amazing show! Both kids loved it and sat quietly and watched the whole thing. Which is amazing for my kids. Afterwards, we waited about 5 min. for pictures with Stitch.
Next, DD had to have hot chocolate and cookies, so we got some of those at Cosmic Rays and watched the end of the Castle show and saw the beautiful lights. Then, over towards Frontierland for the parade. We got there about 10 minutes before the parade started and found a spot behind a family who were sitting by the rope. My DD is a very friendly and outgoing person and she started chatting with the two older ladies who were there, and they invited her to sit up front with them! Where does she get that talent from? She should be a politician. The parade was spectacular, my favorite was Cinderella's coach with the miniature ponies. I held DS in my arms and he was waving to the characters. I am getting good at holding him and also taking pictures with the other hand!
When the parade was over, we scooted over to Fantasyland to get our pictures with Belle. We timed it right because when we got in line, Snow White was there, but by the time we got up front Belle and the Beast were there. We waited about 20 minutes. DD always has to ask the characters a question, she asked Belle what the Beast was giving her for Christmas and Belle replied the beautiful earring she was wearing, Mrs. Potts helped him pick them out! DS would not pose with Belle.
Then, more hot chocolate and cookies on our way to get a spot near Crystal Palace to watch the fireworks. Which were so beautiful. DD then wanted to go play in Donalds Boat in Toontown. But, by the time we got there she was asleep. So, DS ran around and played for a while. Long lines for the princesses and Mickey/Minnie (45 minutes) so we skipped that. We decided to see the parade again and went back to Frontierland, once again found a spot behind one family who were sitting. DD slept in her stroller but DS loved seeing it all again. Our final stop of the night was Adventureland, where DH and I took turns taking DS on Pirates (10 minute wait). As we left, snow was falling on Main Street. A fantastic night!! So much fun, I want to go again!!
